Typical Process Stages in a 6 KLD STP:

1.   1. Primary Treatment:

2.      2. Secondary Treatment:

Biological processes, such as activated sludge or moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBR), remove organic matter and other pollutants. 

3.      3. Tertiary Treatment (Optional):

Advanced filtration and disinfection processes, like sand filtration and chlorination, further refine the effluent. 

4.      4. Sludge Treatment:

Sludge from the treatment process is processed, often through anaerobic digestion, to reduce volume and generate biogas.
